Busy busy busy!

This girl is so BUSY! She barely learns something new and then quickly moves onto the next. For example she literally fine tuned her scooting on her belly three weeks ago and now she has officially moved onto crawling.

She learns too quick and discovers new abilities all the time! Her newest? Walking along furniture! And from furniture to furniture (or box to box)

She also thinks that she needs to pull herself up onto everything and anything! Literally! She even tried using to cabinets to do so! I can not turn my back for even a second!

This girl is definitely keeping me on my toes!

little "guests"

We have some UNWANTED little guests in our attic! oh geez!  The other night I was sitting in my room playing with missy miss and I heard footsteps above my head! It sounded like someone was walking on my roof, took me a bit to realize what I was hearing was actually in the attic. I'm guessing its racoons! They are LOUD!  Now I need to find someone to get rid of those! {{Sigh}}

Is this what house ownership is going to be like?? I sure hope not!

What the Freak?!

Just a few moments ago Spencer and I were just chilling in our bed. I was nursing the babe and Spencer was watching TV. Then out of the blue we were a loud crash! My first thoughts was that someone was breaking in (I must subconsciously be terrified of that, plus it sounded like it was downstairs). Spencer hopped up and looked in the bathroom, he may have said a few choice words and told me the shower door broke! WHAT?!

Oh my goodness this house is falling apart! This about the 5th thing that has gone wrong since we moved here! Its starting to make me reconsider this whole "home ownership idea" that I have been wanting so badly.

Not to mention it totally has me freaked out! My heart was pounding ten minutes afterward! I know its silly but I am a little scared of this old creaky house. (no offense to Spence and his family :)) But not only is it old and creaky, but I had some scary experiences last fall that still have me freaked out. (I'm not going into detail because it still scares me to think about)

The weird thing about it is that we literally have not gone in the bathroom for the past few hours today, and even when we did, we did NOT touch the shower or the door! I have not the slightest clue why it would have shattered or fallen!

Also the glass is still in there making popping/ crackling sound

"Play Date"

I LOVE getting out and spending time with friends! Especially those who are in the same point of life as me. Today I was able to meet up with my friends Hailey and Natalie! We ate lunch and walked around the mall. It is so nice just getting out and having a little 'play date'! I need to start doing that more often!

Hailey's little boy Gage is just a month older than Hannah. They are getting to the age where they are starting to interact with each other somewhat. It is so fun to see! Hannah does get a little TOO interested in Gage. She just wants to grab him and eat him! So funny. Well Gage probably doesn't think so!

I didn't get pics unfortunately, but I did get a video of the "Hannah Monster" trying to grab sweet Gage.

I have had friends mention recently that it would be fun to do a play date group and I am seriously considering it. I think it would be so fun and so nice to get together with other Mommies my age to just hang out with and just get out of the house! So any Mommies out there interested? Let me know!

How often do YOU eat?

Today at my WIC appointment the dietician asks me how often Hannah eats. Well whenever she wants. Oh but they want to know how often, like how many hours in between. Lets see... WHENEVER she wants to eat. Sometimes its four hours, sometimes two. Heck there have been times when she just ate 10 minutes ago and is acting hungry again AND I feed her!

I know it shouldn't bother me but it does! I HATE when people don't let their babies eat unless it has been 3 hours. "oh what? your hungry? sorry its only been  2 hours, you have to wait one more hour and then you can eat" Really? I don't know about you, but if I am hungry then I go to my kitchen and grab something to eat. It doesn't necessarily have to be a big meal. Sometimes its just a little snack. If I do that, then don't you think my baby possibly needs little snacks here and there? I think so! Therefore I really don't time when Hannah eats, half the time I don't even know what time it was the last time she ate or how long. I follow her cues, and quite frankly I think my baby (and I) know better than any dumb doctor when she needs and wants to eat!

When I was in the hospital they {stupid} nurses wanted to know EVERYTHING. When she ate and how long, did I change her diaper and was it wet or poopy? {annoying} At one point this idiot nurse asked me when was the last time she ate since they last checked. I replied with 11:00 pm, 11:45 and 12:30. The idiot nurse looked at me appalled and says "Oh No! you need to hold off for AT LEAST 3 hours before you let her eat or else her stomach won't grow!" Seriously? SERIOUSLY? so you want me to let me NEWBORN baby cry with hunger for 3 hours? No thanks! I will feed her when she wants!

Hannah is now 6.5 months old and guess what idiot nurse, She eats whenever she is hungry and she apparently is getting enough food because she is still growing! Since when did we start putting our babies on dumb feeding schedules? I would like to know what idiot came up with that crap. You know what I say? They are not the mother to your children, therefore they do not know what is best YOU do! Follow your God given motherly instincts who cares what the stupid doctors say.

One mans trash.

I have been wanting to go yard sale shopping for sometime now so I finally got my Mom to go with me after bugging her for about a year now. It was my first yard sale experience and I must say it was a success! Especially at one yard sale I spent $3 and got a crap load of stuff!

This is just some of the stuff I got...
(the doll cradle is my new project! stay tuned for future posts after I finish)

At another yard sale I got a new {to me} kitchen table $20! woot woot!

Not the best pic (and no the flowers were not included ;) )

I think I may have found a new hobby! Hubby better get three jobs to support us now ;) jk jk!

Hoppy Easter!

The Easter bunny came to our house today!
( I didn't get pics of mine and Spencers baskets because of some miscommunications that day....)

and YES I AM one of those crazy Mommies that gets their 6 month old baby an Easter basket even though they really have no idea what is going on. :) BUT can you blame me?! Look how cute that basket looks all put together for her! Not to mention I got the basket and little lamb last year on sale after Easter so I have been very patiently impatiently waiting to give this to her! Also I put in things that she WILL need and use everyday. Makes me feel better about it ;)

Love this girl in the morning! She is always so happy when she wakes up!

Missy Miss was pretty excited about the "toy" that I put in front of her. Couldn't decide what to grab first.

Of course it was easier to knock the whole thing over and pull everything out at once

She could not decide what to eat first!

The Easter bunny brought Hannah some Pajamas, a book, sippy cups, caterpillar toy, and a lamb.

And if I must say so myself she looked so stinkin' cute in her Easter dress! I got so many compliments at church today! She really did look so adorable!

For the evening Spencer had planned to go camping with my two younger brothers. He asked the night before and I said it was fine. But the next day I wasn't too happy with it. In my defense when he asked to go camping later that night I thought he wouldn't be leaving (or getting ready) til 5 or 6. But instead he started packing up to go right when we got back to church. I was not a happy wife. Its a holiday! Isn't it pretty much "required" that he spends that time with me?! Well I think it is.... Anyways to make me look feel less like a crazy person I will just say that after a few hours of conflict at this Nielson household I finally told him to just GO! But then somehow he convince me to go. Looking back I really should have stayed home in my own bed. Here is why...

The HIKE! I was told it was a hard steep hill just at the beginning and then an easy walk from there. In my head I'm thinking that's alright I can handle a steep hill and a SHORT walk. UNDER EXAGGERATION of the year! The hike KILLED me! Literally! We were only a quarter of the way there and I had already over-exerted my body so bad that I felt like throwing up the whole night.

This was before I knew what was ahead of me... (I should have taken pics of afterwards :) lol)
My sweet brother didn't know what was ahead of him either!
He was fooled as well!Although he was quite the trooper, I don't think he complained once
. (I think I complained enough the whole group)

THE CAMP: Since we were hiking up we had to pack light, and by light that meant NO PADS! Therefore we were sleeping on the very HARD and rocky ground! Talk about NO sleep! (on a good note, Hannah slept AMAZING!) Also Spencer and I have not invested in sleeping bags yet, well he has one we just have not got one for me. We had to share his and a couple blankets, therefore poor Spencer was freezing! I wasn't too bad, but I love to sleep in the cold so the two blankets were plenty for me!

BEARS!: ok there weren't really bears (or wolves) but I was so scared that there would be! But in the middle of the night I (and apparently Dylan) heard footsteps outside our tent. I am sure it was a deer but I could not get my mind to believe that. I kept on thinking it was wolf (Dylan thought it was a bear) at one point I finally convince myself to fall asleep until I woke up in a panic after hear a growl in my ear! ok ok it wasn't in my ear, but it sounded like it. And it wasn't a growl it was a SNORE coming from the Hubby! Once again I had to convince myself IT WAS NOT A WOLF! Needless to say I did not sleep good!

Even though it sounds like I was miserable and complaining the whole time, I really wasn't complaining (well not that much). There were some fun parts to the trip! We had a nice fire set up before we went to bed and the next morning. Plus the boys got to go fishing for a few hours that morning. Over all I guess it was ok. Next time I refuse to believe the boys when they say the hike is a "little" strenuous. Next time I'm driving right up to the camp ground!

Family Easter Party

Today My family had our Easter party. We have not done one of these forever so my sister Tabby and I thought it was much needed! It was lots of fun! We ate lots of good food, played out side, had an easter egg hunt and dyed eggs! We also celebrated birthdays! My nephew Jake's birthday is tomorrow and My "baby" sister and brother's 18th birthday is coming up soon! (all too soon if you ask me!)

**Be warned: picture overload!
