Family Easter Party

Today My family had our Easter party. We have not done one of these forever so my sister Tabby and I thought it was much needed! It was lots of fun! We ate lots of good food, played out side, had an easter egg hunt and dyed eggs! We also celebrated birthdays! My nephew Jake's birthday is tomorrow and My "baby" sister and brother's 18th birthday is coming up soon! (all too soon if you ask me!)

The zoo!

Spencer and I were looking  at the weather earlier this week and say the weather was supposed to be so nice this weekend so we thought we should do something fun and with us being kids at heart we decided on the zoo!

Well the night before I was talking to my little sister and I decided to invite her to come along! The next morning she asked if my little brother could come too. well of course! The more the merrier! Shortly after my Mom thought it sounded fun too! So we went to the store and gathered up some snacks and food for lunches, packed up the car and headed up! On our way up my two older sisters thought the zoo wasn't a bad idea! Tabby had previous plans but we picked up her daughter Millie then Tiffany met us with her two kids! It was a very random and thrown together day but it turned out way fun!

We all had lots of fun in the sun today and we were all worn out! What a day!

Enjoying this nice "winter" (?) weather!

Today was nice outside today so Hannah and bundled up a bit and went on a nice little walk! She loved it! I tried laying the seat down and she would not have it! She wanted to sit up and see the world around her! She was seriously looking all around! She was looking at the horses with great intensity as we passed by. It was so cute! Love it!

She loved it so much that when I stopped walking she would start fussing. I can't wait til it's warmer outside so there is no need to bundle up and we can go on more walks!

So long 2011....hello 2012!

Happy New Year!!!

I can't believe another year has come and gone! It was quite the year and we had many fun adventures here at the Nielson Household! We had so many "Firsts" this year, which made it very fun and special to us! 

In January we found out that we were expecting our FIRST baby! We couldn't have been more excited! We enjoyed all the new things that come with pregnancy. Hearing the baby's hearbeat, going to all my pregnancy doctor appointments, the FIRST ultrasound, finding out we were having a GIRL, feeling her kick and move all about, and then of course welcoming sweet Hannah into the world and Holding our sweet girl for the FIRST time and kissing her sweet face, hands and feet! taking her home for the FIRST time!

We also celebrated our FIRST year of marriage in September. Its crazy to me that we have been married a year! Sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday that we were married, but then it feels as if we have been married for years! 

It has been quite the year, and we have enjoyed the many adventures and worked through a few trials. But its been a good year! I can't wait to see what 2012 brings us!

I don't have many resolutions, I need to keep my list small {I already have a hard time keeping just a few resolutions} but I plan to do my best to keep them!

1) Be better with money! I hope to start saving money and not spend it as much as we do! 

2) Keep up with the blog! I know I say this all the time, but I NEED to be better. This is supposed to be my journal is a sense, so I need to keep up!

3) I want to finish the blog posts that I  have missed. I have so many I want to blog about, so I MUST do this!

4) Enjoy everyday! I need to have a better attitude about life!

5) Be healthier and eat healthier!

That's all I have got and all I am going to specifically try! I hope you have had a fun 2011 and wish you a happy 2012!!

 

One Month!

Hannah baby is ONE Month old! Where did the time go?! My baby is getting so big, its so hard to believe! Today she started smiling at us! She has been smiling since day one, mostly in her sleep though. So you can imagine my delight when she actually looked at me and smiled! She definitely knows who her mommy is, which makes me very happy! Oh my goodness! I am loving it!

She is much more alert and loves to watch the world around her. She especially loves to look at the lights. Every morning she will just stare at our curtains and the light shining through the sides. She is also very curious about her hands. She tries SO hard to get those fingers in her mouth, so much that is frustrates her. Poor girl gets so frustrated when she can't get her fingers, so bad to the point where I have had to cave and give her a binky :( Whatever keeps my girl happy I guess! It is so fun with her smiling and so alert! I love watching my girl get bigger and learning more about the world around her.
